I know this is a dangerous subject, so I only would like people to post things they liked and would like to do again. you can also post ideas on what you'd want to do next time!
i.e. I liked the food- lets do it again!
i.e. I would like to try The photo shoot right after/before judging

I'll list here!
1.) Dinner at the last practice
2.) Epic Props
3.) Photo Shoot and Judging same day

I liked the dinner we had after practice thing. Hmm photoshoot after judging is questionable, since I know some poeple have karaoke contest and I do not want to miss swap meet. Maybe before rehearsal but that would be a very rushed schedule either way.

I like giant props, maybe just a little smaller
I liked dinner at the last practice
I like the thought of photoshoots just after judging (we can always arrange judging to be early Saturday, right?) that way I might have some time for hall cosplay XD

Next year, I'd really like to start earlier on my costume XD
I'd also like to toss in some dance choreography - you know I love that stuff.
I'd like to keep our same ninjas as well if possible!

We all would like to start earlier on our costumes, but you know how real life likes to get in way. Giant props are awesome, but I think they drove masquerade staff batty this year. There were so many groups with giant props  Huh?

You're talking about giant SET PIECES. And yes, they drove the stage hands bat-shit crazy. They were seriously talking about putting size limits in the rules for next year. Who knows what'll happen.

Props are what folx carry in their hands, or are somehow used by the actors. And you guys did a great job on props!  Wink

"What I liked and what we should do again!"

Nothing personal, but the subject has been dominating most conversations on and off the boards.
The props/set piece subject is now "tabboo" in this area. There is no problem sharing what is good- and good only. The staff is not in PVC, and their concerns are handled when con time comes. No need to worry about them until 2010

Just passing along what the stage hands said (the theatre ones, not ours). I thought the cubes were great.  Wink

Photoshoots whenever. I'm not particular.

Dinner at final practice is a wonderful idea!
