Oh master please me merciful unto your unknowing plebeian, I seek advice on a school girl uniform.

Okay, so the Vampire Knight day uniforms (the black ones) have these gray lines on them that make me think of panels with edging or something (I have attached a pic for you to look at). All the costumes that I have seen online have strips of fabric that are sown on to mimic the design.

Just looking at the picture, what do you think it is supposed to be? Some kind of embroidery, panels, lines of fabric?

I just think that the lines of fabric look kind of tacky, but if that's really all that it is...

Any advice would be greatly appreciated and thanks in advance!

I would use thin ribbon, or piping. But piping is harder

'Snot piping - it's thin ribbon. That'll be easier to use. It can be a grosgrain or matte. NO SATIN - that cheapens the effect. Point me towards bigger, better piccies! I'd love to see the rest of 'em!
